My stay at Amaya was truly refreshing, nestled in the hills away from Kandy's hustle and bustle. The views were breathtaking, perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the staff provided fantastic service throughout our stay. However, the cleanliness of the room could use some attention, and it was a bother that our guide had such difficulties with accommodations. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with a mix of pros and a couple of cons.
My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. Upon arrival, the check-in process was a bit icy, and I was initially assigned a dark and musty room that didn’t match the beautiful photos online. However, after voicing my concerns, I was moved to a brighter suite that was much more comfortable. The meals were decent, and the evening buffet was lovely. While the hotel has potential due to its beautiful setting, it fell short of expectations, especially in terms of room quality and service responsiveness.
